idaho adventures

Just so you all know i am going to byu idaho this fall and byu provo this winter. in other word i am going to both schools at the same time.

i left a week from last saturday and me and gaylene and breanne drove down all the way to boise, and there we met up trent and his family, eric, troy, david and his daughter diana, and us -breanne, heidi, gaylene. and that saturday we went to a water park. it was erally fun to catch up with the messingers and go swimming. then me and breanne left early and made our drive to idaho arriveing late that night.

we decorated our room really cool, we have a red wall (wrapping paper), and newspaper on another wall, pictures of oldfashion people in black/white (elvis, i love lucy, etc. and our beds are red white and black. i also have black/white pictures of grandma and grandpa, mom/gaylene when younger, me and breanne, pic of the sisters, bugle boys, etc. that i blew up into posters.

as for my roomates there names are aly, amy, breanne, rachael, and melissa. they all turned out to be really great! which is really nice cuz i havnt had the best luck in the past on that.

as for classes im taking improv/chorographying dance class, dance team, study skills, new testiment, and flower arranging. my tues and thurs are pretty much no school (beisdes dance team)-so thats fun, same as breanne.

yesterday i went on a all day hike with the ward. that was really fun and intense. breanne wasnt able to go but it was fun meeting new people and getting to know my roomies more. we ended up hiking up to a cave.

a few events ive done are tryouts, bonfire, swimming, a date- bowling/ pool (some of grandpas genes were showing off in that game... he would be proud), and the ward hike. (heres a pic from my date)


i just recieved my calling as a family home evening mother. i really like this calling. altho this is the 3rd time ive recieved it. my whole college experience i have been the fhe mother.

comparison: between byu and byui, i really miss the football games already and my friends in provo and fam, and byu in general but so far its been a good experience here and the teachers are really good! espeacially my new testiment one. its fun rooming with breanne too. im enjoying it here. i also am taking new testiment with breanne, and child developement with stacia marshall.

tryouts?! ...results! :)

so friday i tryed out for the dance team at byu idaho and it was really intense. they taught us a dance and then cut people and then taught some thing else and then cut more people, and in the end made about 4 different cuts. and somehow i made it through them all and... I MADE THE TEAM!!!!!!! so i am officially a college dancer now whoo hoo :) im really excited, all my dance classes are paying off. the dance team is called collegite (contemperary) dance team. and i will be dancing modern/contemperay, jazz, hip hop and lyrical! and have a big performance in november i think. anyways im still learning details. but im so excited!

augest highlights...

in augest i had quite a few highlights, one being the family reunion. where we all went camping adn skiing/tubbing for a few days. it was really fun playing pirates dice, smores, michelles baby shower with smelling dirty dipers, skiing, skiing and more skiing. Dr. mario was a big hit during the reunion too and i am prob addicted, i am ry serious about getting a n64 and that game soon. i love getting together with everyone! its my favorite part of my year.




inaugest i was able to go rafting twice, which is my favorite thing ever! i went with the family and that was awesome!we had the bus, and the hogi sandwhiches and it was great turn out and everything that rafting should be... tho it was weird that only 4 of the dickinson kids were there. a week later i also went rafting with breannes single ward, there i got on a boat with all boys and just me and we popped awilly and made it stand on one end, but the thing was i was sitting on the front end, while everyone else was in the back making it go up so i flew way in the sky and then as i reach the top dropped and smacked against the water hard! but it was def worth it! it made it even more of a rush because they never told me what we were doing just that i should sit in the very very front onthe thing and hold on.

right now im at the age that allot of my guy friends are going on missions so i got to say goodbye to alot of them some being cameron, gregson, michael, jeff, etc.



SKIING! this summer i def took advantage of the fact that i can go skiing on grandpas new boat. i ended up going alot of times. and really worked on getting up on one ski. and in the end i did it! i am a one skiier now!!!! i have a video at home so hopefully i can get dad to post it!

over augest i was also able to go visit with larryd's family and that was fun. celebrating birthday and dinners etc. one day i even got to go to oaks with them! :)



i also read all the twilight books and am now reading a book by the same author called the host. me and tammy got talking and thought maybe it'd be a good idea for who ever has read the first book or is interested we could all go to the twilight movie together at thanksgiving time. so read the first book.



i also introduced the tv seris: heroes to the family at home and got them hooked. we watch all the first season. one night staying up till 5 am, because they were so good. :)



overall my augest was a very fun end of summer playing and working for mom sorting pictures. :)

dye hair

i dyed my hair dark...i like it lots. everyone keeps calling me sherry tho.. i mean everyone!

utah trip

last week i went to utah for 4 days. me and lucy flew in at midnight and joined mom and slept over at pauls house on the bean bags, then had some yummy breakfast and learned more about pauls work. then we went to provo to see baby maddie, and she is sooo cute! looks just like tammy with brown hair. that night was able to spend the night at my old roomies house camillas, and it was fun to catch up with her. then next day we got to see maddie again, made some meals and did a lil shopping. that night i got to meet up with my friends gregson and cezar. it was pretty confusing cuz i had to call cezars brothers phone to get a hold of him but his brothers name was cezar too. wednesday we helped will and tammy move and valeries (wills sister) family move. it was a big moving day... while we were at it we helped sherry move her stuff too. after that i went on a run because im training for the hood to coast. and then after that me, sherry, lucy, mom and sherrys friends went to a outdoor movie which was pretty cool. the last day we went over to paul and karis and had some yummy hamburgers and crispy treats and played games. and then we were off to the airport on the way we had a few extra minutes so we stopped by and saw the martins.

california fun!

i finished up in california a week or so ago. here are some things we did towards the end: soccer games -got to see dallin kick the ball and eden charge, amusement park, watch batman at the drive in- john and sarah also joined us, sleepover on the tramp- because it was on the tramp people slide into people and i had lucy practically on top of me on my right, peter practically on top of me on my left and tanner who was a bove me slid down adn was pretty much on my head....i didnt get cold haha, my friend devins farewell, made cookies, rice crispys, banana bread, monkey bread, lucy came joined us, visited with roomie lauren, watched devin design, royalty at johns, park, ran, etc. california was a blast i loved living with peter and cillas family!

update

alright its time to update, im still in california at peter and cillas, lucy came and joined us today. we went to del taco and played on the play structure. carter got blessed last sunday. we have been very sick here for a week or so. i was extremely sick with a stomach bug and a day after i got over that i got strept throat. i havnt been that sick in a long time. some things i have done while being in cali: bike rides, runs, swimming at johns, fourth of july at greg koberlins relatives, cool pizza resturant, soccer games, disney movies (peter and cilla bought almost all the disney movies at a garage sale), trampoline, made cookies, visited with my old roomie lauren, played with toys, blind date with peters co worker, driving range - golfing, ice cream, and tonight we are going to a drive in movie. i also have been getting into editing pictures too. here are some pictures:
